Warning for Man United & Eden Hazard’s ‘personality’ problem – Graeme Souness

In his weekly column in the Sunday Times, Graeme Souness has turned attention to Chelsea.

Chelsea are in action on Sunday as they take on Newcastle at St James’ Park.

If the Blues win in the north-east, Chelsea will continue their 100% start to the season.

But are Chelsea really serious challengers for the Premier League title this term?

Can they compete with the likes of Man City and Liverpool?

A word on Man United & Jose Mourinho

Even though the focus of Souness’s attention is Chelsea, the Scot also passed comment on Man United.

Man United are back in action on Monday night when Spurs visit Old Trafford.

Of course, the Red Devils lost 3-2 at Brighton last weekend.

Looking at the wider picture at United, Souness has compared the current troubles at the Theatre of Dreams to the 2017-18 Chelsea campaign under Antonio Conte:

Chelsea’s failure to defend their title or finish in the top four last season provides a cautionary tale for Manchester United in the current campaign.

It was obvious early on that Antonio Conte did not get his way with the players signed and was in a huff.

If Jose wins his next match,  the pressure will be reduced
