Transfer News: Chelsea are interested in signing Kalidou Koulibaly

Transfer news LIVE updates: Follow the latest news and gossip

Chelsea have their sights set on Napoli duo Kalidou Koulibaly and Elseid Hysaj, reports claim.

The Blues are plotting a significant reshuffle after the disastrous defence of their Premier League crown.

Italian website Tuttosport claim Chelsea executives are still interested in signing long-term target Koulibaly, who could cost upwards of £80million.

Right-back Hysaj could give Victor Moses and Davide Zappacosta a run for their money, but his contract contains a £48million release clause.

Jerome Boateng has dropped a major hint that he’ll be leaving Bayern Munich.

Boateng told Socrates magazine: “I’ve experienced everything at Bayern, and I am slowly coming to a point where I must answer myself certain questions.

"What are the goals I have not reached yet? Do I, time and time again, want to prove myself at the same club with the same pre-conditions?’

"Those are not necessarily classic questions regarding the career, but vital questions and, in the end, questions that drive people."

That could be music to Jose Mourinho’s ears. The Red Devils boss has been credited with interest in the German international.

Cesc Fabregas has moved quickly to mute any speculation that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge.

The Spanish midfielder is thought to be worried about Antonio Conte leaving the club, and fears a new manager will leave him on the sidelines.

Fabregas told Cadena COPE: "I'm happy here and I want to stay in Chelsea next season. I feel good in London, my family too, so I do not see why I'm leaving Chelsea."

Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United

Leeds have once again been linked with a move for ex-Manchester United gem Ashley Fletcher.

Fletcher, who left United for West Ham before moving to Middlesbrough last summer, is currently on loan at Sunderland.

The forward could be offloaded by Boro in the summer and Gazette Live claim Leeds could move for him.

They reckon Paul Heckingbottom’s position as Leeds boss could be the deal breaker, with the manager having coached Fletcher at Barnsley.

However, Leeds could axe Heckingbottom at the end of the season, which would likely end their interest in Fletcher.

Arsenal want to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

That is the report coming out of Germany today, with Sport Bild claiming the Gunners are readying an offer.

Juventus and AC Milan are also interested in Papastathopoulos, who joined Dortmund in 2013.

The report claims Arsenal official Sven Mislintat is most keen on Papastathopoulos, having worked at Dortmund before moving to London.

And that influence could be enough see a deal done this summer.

Martial to leave Man Utd

Anthony Martial has spoken to Juventus and Bayern Munich about leaving Manchester United.

Calciomercato claim the France international reached out to the two clubs.

Martial is expected to be sold in the summer as United boss Jose Mourinho eyes forward recruits.

Juve are the frontrunners to land Martial, who is supposedly available for £44m.

Chelsea winger Willian, who has failed to hold down a regular starting spot under Antonio Conte has been linked with a reunion with Mourinho.

Bookmakers have suggested that Anthony Martial could make way in a swap deal with Willian.

“I think that a team without a Brazilian isn't a team,” he said. “But also, a squad with three or four Brazilian athletes, depending on their profile, cannot make a great team too. I'm kidding!

"I worked with Brazilian players in every team I coached, and I enjoyed [them] a lot, everything they can give and also every problem they can create!

"But honestly, I enjoyed a lot, and who knows we can have a Brazilian in the squad next year.

“I don't believe it will be Willian, because Chelsea won't make it possible."

Samuel Umtiti contract talks

Barcelona believe they are getting closer to tying down Manchester United target Samuel Umtiti, according to Guillem Balague.

The Catalan giants have so far failed to convince him to sign a new deal that would vastly increase his current £52m (€60m) release clause.

Manchester United are thought to be the frontrunners in the race to get the France international on-board at the end of the season.

And they are said to be willing to meet his wage demands, which come in around the £7.9m a year mark.

Balague reckons Barcelona could thwart United’s attempts to bolster their defence with Umtiti though.

"After the defeat against Roma and his poor performance, he lost power in the negotiation table," Balague told Sky Sports.

"There has been fresh contact and Barcelona, without being totally optimistic, think the tables have turned and are getting close to convincing him to stay for much less of what he originally asked."

Premier League table predicted: Super computer picks every position

Express Sport reveals how the final 2017/18 Premier League table will look, according to Football Web Pages

How will the Premier League table look at the end of the 2017/18 season?

Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in signing South Korean prospect Kim Min-jae, reports claim.

The talented 21-year-old was named Young Player of the Year in Korea last campaign, and his exploits have caught the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Website Teamtalk claim the Premier League trio have registered their interest.

But could wait to see how he fares at this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.www.express.co.uk/sports
